Vietnam Visa Checker
Vietnam updates its entry rules from time to time. Pick your nationality below to see the current requirement before you book flights.
Good to know
- The e-visa (open to all nationalities since 15 August 2023) covers a 90-day stay, single or multiple entry, applied for online at evisa.gov.vn for about 25 USD, with a three-working-day processing estimate.
- A group of countries — including Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Japan, South Korea, and since 1 March 2025 Poland, Czechia and Switzerland — has a unilateral 45-day exemption; ASEAN nationals and Chileans also have their own exemptions (21 to 90 days depending on nationality).
- Only use the official portal evisa.gov.vn. Many copycat sites mimic its design and charge several times the real fee for the same application.
- Exemptions and processing rules are renewed periodically, so double-check the official portal shortly before you fly, even if this tool showed 'no visa needed' before.
This tool gives a general orientation based on publicly known rules; it is not legal advice and does not replace the official Vietnamese immigration portal, which you should check before booking or travelling. travel.state.gov · canada.ca
