Things to do in Da Nang
Da Nang is the large coastal city of central Vietnam and a practical base between Hue and Hoi An. One to two days is enough for My Khe beach, the Marble Mountains, the Son Tra peninsula and the Dragon Bridge. Two confusions are worth clearing up.
The Golden Bridge, held up by giant stone hands at Ba Na Hills in the hills west of the city, belongs to a commercial resort opened in 2018, not to the heritage list; allow roughly 30–35 EUR in 2026 for entry with the cable car. And Da Nang is not Hoi An: the UNESCO-listed old town is about 45 minutes away by road.
The international airport lies a few minutes from the centre, and the Hai Van Pass road leads north to Hue, roughly 100 km away.
