Things to do in Da Lat

Da Lat is not a beach town and it is not hot. At roughly 1,500 m on the Lang Biang plateau, it stays cool all year, often 15–25 °C, with chilly evenings from December to February. It is also not a UNESCO site. What it offers is a slow, climate-led stay: pine woods, coffee cafés, flower gardens, waterfalls and villas from the French colonial period.

Allow two to three days; there is no single monument to tick off. Flights land at Lien Khuong airport, about 30 km out, and the road from the coast takes several hours on winding mountain sections, so do not plan it as a quick detour. Budget around 3–10 EUR for most entry tickets and café stops, more for guided canyoning or jeep tours.

Prices are quoted in 2026 and drift with the dong.
